Photographer’s Note
Then, immediately after the Lukashenko's victorious elections in March '96 I hesitated to publish this picture of the brave people's resistance - long lasting rallies on the Minsk central square, with repressions of the state power, whole democratic world focused there... Unfortunately, almost one year later this picture seems to be more realistic than then enthusiasm. One more lecture, that things never change by the people's will, but only by decisions and agreements of powers. So does it make sense to freeze on the squares?
