Photographer’s Note
Between the electric barbed-wire fences and the guard towers is what must have been a very black life for the thousands of prisoners trapped at Auschwitz-Birkenau with no way out. Always under the watchful eye of their oppressors.

Hi Leanne,
I am impressed by the strength of this photo. You made a very efficient composition that tells everything without any extra word needed.
You have a good photographic eye really.
Pascal.

Leanne, there are a number of conventional compositional "rules" broken here - well done for breaking them!! This is a very strong shot and deserves to be in a book or exhibition about the subject matter. Truly excellent work. Paul.

Hi Leanne,
Excellent choice of B&W to depict a very touching and emotional subject. Its like one of those stills from the old WW II movies.

Bonjour Leanne,
Rien à rajouter tout est dit dans cette photo.
Cette semaine, il y avait la journée de commémoration des génocides. Elle y avait sa place.
