Photographer’s Note
A panorama of the Belvedere castle in Vienna. Nowadays inside the Palace there’s the Austrian Gallery, with 19th and 20th centuries Austrian and International works, among others there are works of Amerling, Hausner, Hundertwasser, Klimt, Kokoscha, Romako, Schiele, Waldmüller, and some French impressionists too.
The Belvedere Palace was built in 1721-22, when Prince Eugene of Savoy --during the war against the Turks, Commander in Chief of the Imperial Army-- asked Johan Lukas von Hildebrandt to construct a Summer palace. He actually never lived here.
From the other side of the castle you have a good view overlooking Vienna and a very nice park.
In the Belvedere in May 1955 the Austrian State treaty ws signed with the allied powers and presented to the publlic with foreign ministers Leopold Figl saying "Österreich ist frei" (Austria is free)

Wolfgang,
Your composition is very good here with nice balance and symmetry. The reflection in the pool adds a lot to the shot. The color and lighting are great with nice sharpness and DOF.
