Working in Unison Photo

Photographer’s Note

Farmers working the rice fields in the countryside is an image that most of us have when thinking of Vietnam. I like these two workers because they seem to be working in perfect unison. After capturing there attention from the roadside, we exchanged smiles and they allowed me to take some photographs while they continued to work.

PS...Two full conical hats for Valeria :-)

Nice work here, i like the way you positioned the diagonal in the background such that it echoed the angle of the farmer's back. i see what you mean about them working in perfect unison--one hand reaching into the field, the other holding what's already been removed, gazing intently on their right hands. The colors were great, very intense.

What a spectacular shot. It looks very very uncomfortable, but then this has been going on for thousands of years. The composition, light, and sharpness are first rate. In additition, the symmetry, the identical slopes of the hats and bodies, makes this a classic photo. Regards,
