Photographer’s Note

Another picture from the Ulm Minster, which has the highest church spire in the world. This one was taken from one of the staircases, and shows one of the two smaller towers in the back of the church, and the city of Ulm.

I really like this kind of framing, as you can see in my Barcelona picture. Composition is not perfect on this one: I would have preferred to catch the other tower which is not in renovation, and I think it would be nicer if I had the bottom of the window to make a complete frame. But this was all I could catch while safely pressed against the wall. I will have to conquer my fear of steep stone staircases!

Or I can simply start a series of "church towers being renovated or built" and call it a concept :)
