Photographer’s Note
There are one or two railway lines left in the North West of England that have not been electrified, these tend to be used when steam specials are run. This is great news for photographers because it leaves a clear shot, no overhead wires.
This paticular shot was at a sleepy little place called Arnside, where a viaduct crosses the river Kent, the engine is a little small in the frame but it was about a quater of a mile away!!
I have put the dimensions at 780 pixels by 500, if anyone could tell me how to get the picture larger and keep within the limits I would appreciate it.

David,
This is a great view of this wonderful train. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF. The smoke is amazing and is captured well here. I have been able to downsize my photos by using Paint from the windows viewer. Once I open paint I choose Image then stretch & skew. In the S&S window I change the horizontal & vertical % to 50 each then choose OK then repeat the 50% process and that should do it.
TFS,
Asa
