I always loved greek mythology
thats why i related to it immaditly ...then i noticed that i am in paris and recalled a sotry called the judgment of paris ....
But thanx to --->Gulen Sinem Tek(gstek) he enlighten with this statue story ..
that's Hermaphrodite, the son of Aphrodite and Hermes. One day, when he was having his bath in the lake, the lake's fairy fell in love with him. But he was very shy and didin't respond to her love. The very upset fairy prayed to gods and wished to be with him forever. Gods accepted this wish and united them in one body.

Hi Asma,
I liked the shadows on the statue. And it's also one of my favorite's in Louvre Museum. But that's not a goddesse, that's Hermaphrodite, the son of Aphrodite and Hermes. One day, when he was having his bath in the lake, the lake's fairy fell in love with him. But he was very shy and didin't respond to her love. The very upset fairy prayed to gods and wished to be with him forever. Gods accepted this wish and united them in one body. Isn't it an interesting story?

Lovely sleeping beauty, Asma
Very interesting treatment when you show this goddess in a hard contrast and hide some details in darkness. Still the Greek goddess looks very marvelous with her gentle marble skin.
Her name is "Sleeping Hermaphrodite" she was crafted since 2nd century BC.
I also have done her shot from The Louvres several years ago but in different POV.
Nice POV.

Hi Asma,
great shot with fantastic lighting, which accentuates the curves of the body very well. I like the story about the goddes which turned out to be Hermaphrodite. Greek mythology is full of surprises like this. That´s what it makes much more interesting (at least from my POV) than the pretty boring religions that followed. :-)
Regards
Andreas
