Photographer’s Note
Lamayuru lies about halfway along the stunning road from Leh to Srinagar in Kashmir. It is a tranquil and hugely welcoming village, overlooked by a stunningly situated monastery. People live a primarily subsistence life, growing barley and high altitude grasses. Lamayuru has the largest and oldest gompa (Tibetan Buddhist monastery) in Ladakh with a population of around 150 permament monks resident. The population has been as high as 400 but these are now dispersed around surrounding villages.

Hello Richard
Panoramic croping it's a god choice and light and colours are well captured.
Good view of a beautifull place.
