A photo from Nuuk, the capital of Greenland, pop. 16000. Its not a especially good photo, but somehow it apeals to me and describes a "modern" Artic mood/spirit.

so this village in the background is Nuuk, the capital city... very interesting, I'd like to see more pictures of the city.
nice shot, interesting colors, scooter on the road, big hill on the side frames the scene nicely. nice shot

I like it too
very sparse and the green tinge gives supports that look and a good cool colour overall
The street lights gives a feel of depth, thewide skies and the moon lends emptiness to it.

I agree with you entirely concerning the mood in this. I saw the thumbnail and the very typical winter colours and was surprised at how few points you got (notice that 265 people checked it out). I see nothing wrong with it - on the contrary, the full moon and the headligth from the snowscooter juxtapose very well, and the depth and wildness is there - together with modern civilisation. Maybe you could have filtered with NeatImage to get rid of the noise.

I like the colours on this photo, Allen. The blues and greens of the snow and the pinks and yellows of the sky. The moon and the snowmobile headlight provides two nice focal points. I think maybe the angle would have been better had you taken the photo from the other side of the road to show more of the city but still a nice picture. I hope the snowmobile didn't run over you?!
