Réserve Vakona

Embark on canoes to visit the five lemurs island of about one ha each, your row will allow you to discover those living, amazing, player primates.
Landing on the principal Island you may have the chance to feed and caress them.

The private reserve of VAKONA leads you around a lake where forty crocodiles live freely, you'll meet Kovu and Nala, two fosa (endemic carnivores of Madagascar, predators of Lemurs) you'll admire parrots, ostriches, aquatic birds, you'll shiver in the sight of boas and will scratch the neck of tortoises.

Situated in the middle of the primary forest, the reserve has sometimes the joy to be frequented by groups of wild Lemurs, overflown by parrots, visited by lots of birds having nests along pathes…

Listen to your senses and go to pathes in search of chameleons, uroplates, lemurs, babakoto, crab spiders and frogs specific of Madagascar. And above all, try the adventures to see the biggest lemurs Indris.
