Elevation of Lago Sulcia is 900 m.
Altitude difference between the two is 2500m of granite and ice, right in front of you !

Amazing sight PierreLouis! Good capture. There seems to be a circular pattern of different colour on the lake, do you know what it is?

Seems like you could have turned the brightness to a little bit lower value.
When I first saw this picture, the song "Climb every mountain" occured in my head :-)) Allthough these montains is a bit too difficult for me.
Seems exiting :-))

Une superbe photo qui montre toute la majesté de la montagne a cet endroit du globe.

Waagh, I feel precarious just looking at this photo. That's a mind-numbing distance in such a sheer and unforgiving environment.
A beautifully clear and sharp photo, which goes with the subject, I suppose. Shame about the lens flare hitting where it would show most, but it does little to spoil the overall effect. Having the few rocks of the foreground of where you are standing connects you with the picture and just makes it feel more likely you could fall at any moment. Excuse me, I need a lie down...
