The 12 Apostles are well known as a motive here on TE so I won't bore you with all the stories about them.
When I arrived at the Apostles about an hour before sunset it was completely overcast. Fortunately the sun came through on the right moment resulting in this beautiful evening glow on the sandstone. I'm not sure weather I used the sunset option on the Sony Alpha 100 or not.
I made several photos zooming in and out. In another version of this photo (workshop) I cropped the right side so the part below the first apostle and the right side of the 1st apostle are better ballanced. I also added a third (original) photo in the workshop where I zoomed until I had the first apostle in the lower right corner. Am a bit undecided which one of the three is best so feel free to comment of to play with photoshop.

Yes, the compo of this one is more pleasing.
However I like more the background tone and sharpness of the original one.

Nicely done. I arrived too early for my photo taken from this spot, and missed the beautiful "golden hour" lighting on the cliffs that you've captured here. Well done!

prachtige foto Harko,
zeer fraaie foto. ik denk persoonlijk dat als je een klein beetje contrast gebruikt de foto nog beter is. Neemt niet weg dat het een fraaie pov is en een uitstekende foto, goed werk.

Hi Harko. Familiar scene but well captured. The evening glow has served you well giving you a nice warm image. I like the original image myself, I think it has the greatest depth and contrast. Nice work and thanks for sharing.

Hi Harko, Beautiful sunset in a special landscape. Fantastic view. I am afraid, they are not 12 anymore, is that right ? Thanks for sharing, Cheers, Michael

Beautiful view and great colours for the sky. It lacks a little bit sharpness and I find it a little bit too dark in the foreground.
I post a workshop (rapidly realised so not perfect), I hope you'll like it.

Beautiful capture and lucky for you that the clouds moved away......the light is just gorgeous.

nice known place. It is a pitty that the horizont halves the picture. Little crop of sky and maybe some object in front and the photo will receive intensity. Don´t fear from sunset - I´d catch the moment when the sun is hidden (cloud, rock).

Excellent, I love the soft sunset light, the landscape is particular and the composition seems perfect (I like this much more than the ws). The combination of lines, textures and traces is also interesting (stone, waves, clouds).
Thanks for sharing,
