Photographer’s Note

Reflection of the Eastern Sierra Nevadas over Convict Lake in California. Taken in January, there wasn't nearly as much snow as last year, when it was so cold we could walk over parts of the lake. We tried that this year - it didn't work too well :) This lake is hidden near a very small town close to Mammoth.

HI Emily,
I think that this is a wonderful shot. The reflections are lovely and I love the muted blue colour with the little yellow cloud reflected. Very nicely composed.

it is a good refelction BUT you could have done better if you only prolonged the exposure. maybe 1/2 with f7 it would have dramatically enhanced the whole image and increased the color tonage. never the less well done

Excellent photo. This is one of my favorite places. The beauty and solitude are most inviting. You have captured both in this photo.

Wonderful photo and I love the beautiful reflection. Maybe a little less sky would focus the eye on the mountains and the lake a little more. I also was up in Mammoth this summer.
