Photographer’s Note
: I SHOOT IT AT GANGASAGAR MELA(FAIR).
Gangasagar Mela is the largest fair celebrated in West Bengal(INDIA). This fair is held where the Ganga and the Bay of Bengal form a nexus. Hence the name Gangasagar Mela. This festival is celebrated during January every year and is a major attraction for millions of piligrams from all over India.
The pilgrims come for a holy dip on Makar Sankranti (last day of the Bengali Month) Negha -Mid January. They take dips in the Ganges and offer water to the Sun God. The dip, as they say, purifies their 'self' and according to them, 'punya' can be obtained thus. When they are done with the ritual obligations, they head towards the Kapilmuni Temple situated nearby, to worship the deity as a mark of respect.

Hi Subir,
A little over the top with the colour intensity, this being a B&W to colour conversion, yet I like the overall effect, specially the strong silhouttes.
Best Wishes

Hi Subir,
I'm sorry but I dont like this effect.Colour effect is too strong and looks unnatural to me specially given the top part is white where the sun is.

It is a very nice works with beautiful silhouettes and wonderful red colors. I wonder if you could have sharpened a bit more the silhouettes in particular but maybe it was hard with the scan quality. very good work.

Hi Subir,
A Very well-composed image. The silhouettes forming a line across the frame, walking towards eternity, a spiritual realm that is always mysterious...and your photograph describes all of that.
Do upload the B/W version as well, may be in the workshop.

Hi Subir
Nice picture, full of mystery. It must also look good in B&W but, the idea of turning it into some red gives it an even more mystic mood. I love pictures with that kind of silhouettes ;o)
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Subir,
I like your dynamic composition with the four women that create a kind of procession. The truth is that this kind of light looks a bit artificial but nevertheless it was an interesting idea to convert B&W into the coloured photo.

Dear Subir,
A successful experiment. Conversion to Colour has definitely increased the aesthetic sense of this photo.
Going through the criticisms I did a conversion to B&W just to compare the visual impact of the composition. No doubt the colour version provides the best match to your note.
My ws quota already exhausted. Please wait for the upload. In the mean time I couldn't wait for the comment.
Best wishes
