While being on the other side of the world from where I live the last thing I expected was seeing tulip bulps being grown. I can see those at home every spring. Here on the northern coast of Tasmania at the Rocky Cape between Burnie and Stanley a Dutchman "Van Diepen" settled and started his own land company.
I thought to take a photo of the tulips, but it was to be clear from the photo that it just couldn't be at home in the Netherlands so I included the Eucalyptus tree.
An other photo of this same tulip field can be found here.

Welcome to Trekearth, Harko. What a perfectly beautiful shot to begin with. Your colors are wonderful and you have a great composition with the tree in the foreground. I love the lines of the flowers and that excellent sky. You have done a fabulous job!! TFS, Shelly

Wow! What a way to start posting to TE :) The contrasts, bands of colour and the natural texture of the tree all come together to make a great picture. Was that a polarizing filter or have you played with the sky at all, because it is stunning?
If I had to suggest one criticism, it would be nice to lose the fence in the bottom right, but I don't think it would be worth cropping it out as I like the current framing as it is.
Welcome to TE and I hope to see more like this!

Bienvenido a Trekearth.
Empiezas con una foto muy vistosa y de llamativos colores.
Es una composición agradable con el árbol en primer plano y las hileras de tulipanes marcando el horizonte.
Un saludo desde España: Javi

Hi Harko. A very well chosen POV to inclued the tree on the left, the layers of colour are beautiful & superb light capturing the shadow of the tree at right angles to the row of Tulips,, overall a very nice photo & welcome to TE, just could you leave a little note next time saying more about the photo, kind regards Wilson.

Very nice satured colors. A very good picture take with this Alpha 100. I like particularly the curve of tulips.

Welcome to TrekEarth, Harko!. I like your framing here, with the tree and its branches forming a kind of natural frame. The exposure, sharpness and saturation are all perfect. Well done, and keep posting!

Wow! This is just what Australia is all about in my view; Colourful contrasts. I think I would have crop a bit tighter to remove the building on the right. Otherwise, this is a very well composed and beautiful photography.

Yes it should be funny for a Dutch to view such flowers in antipodes.
COlors are brilliant and the composition with the tree is very good .

An extraordinary pallet of colors in this beautiful photograph very pleasant to look at and quite made up. I like much the balance of the image. I find perfect the management of the colors and the light. The shade of the tree is more beautiful effect. An unusual image on Australia and thank you Harko for the complementary photograph very colored.
With my all friendships,

Hi Harko, i browsed your gallery and arrived to your first shot you uploaded here, ... and it was already a very good one, difficult to reach success in the first uplaod, this was your case, and those fields full of colors in background are so photogenics, i would love to visit this place as a lover of colors and nature.
Lucky Harko ;)
Great one, great first one

Félicitations pour cette photo haute en couleurs. C'est vrai que le fait de mettre l'eucalyptus en avant situe la photo ailleurs qu'en Hollande.
Cela devait être bien beau à voir en naturel aussi.
