Photographer’s Note
I took this picture at the famed Northshore of Oahu, Hawai'i. Northshore is a surfers' paradise. During the winter months, the beaches here get gaint waves due to storms way up north. On the day I was there the report was that the waves were 8 to 12 feet high. This wave looks much bigger to me though. The beach basically had two kinds of people. A smaller group of daring surf enthusiasts who were out riding the waves and a much larger group of onlookers enjoying the spectacle of these surfers. I was obviously part of the latter group :-)

hello Hari,
I like this composition. It feels like the wave is about to crash over me! Great acyion shot but also artistically presented.

Hi Hari, I like a lot the vertical framing, with the colours structured in different layers or "floors". The human figure in extreme action is awesome.
Congratulations and regards,
Javier

Hi Hari;
Nice capture. It shows the action. The compostion and contrast is good. Looks like it was windy too - guessing from the water on top of the wave. It adds to the picture.
Cheers;

Great shot. I'm glad I wasn't on that wave! Was there any possibility of putting a flash on this picture? (I don't know how far you were away from this, but I'm sure over 100 yards.) It would have "popped" the surfer more.
