Photographer’s Note
I took this picture in Doi Inthanon National Park, Thailand's highest peak (2565m). Along with the abundant wildlife, some spectacular waterfalls can be found within the park, the most dramatic being Vajirathan waterfall, which drops 100 meters. Above 1,900 meters a delightful cloud forest takes hold, hiding lichens, mosses, and orchids. The mountain's summit is covered with magnolia, rhododendron, and a thriving population of sunbirds.
Doi Inthanon contains several hill tribe villages, most of them Hmong and Karen. Those 2 brothers are Hmong. The Hmong are scattered throughout many countries, including China, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand. Within Thailand they are found in many provinces, including Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Mae Hong Son and Tak. They belong to the Meo-Yao branch of the Austro-Thai linguistic group. The Hmong are the second largest tribal group after the Karen.
I hope you will like this picture. :)

Hi Vincent. A nice portrait, the two faces fit the frame very well together and the is a nice relationship between them. The narrow DoF softens the second child , which I like. The left cheek of the girl is a little over exposed, just a touch of burning-in corrects it perfectly. It is a nice , tender double portrait. Regards Kevin

Nice kids, Vincent. Seeing them happy and smiling is cool. The b+w works well. I like your portrait, Nino

Hi Vince:
What a lovely photograph !!!
It was a perfect choice the BW Format, because we can value in a better way the features in the children.
I LOVED how you caught her/his big eyes and movement in both kids.
And a BIG PLUS is that little detail under the nose !!! lol ...
I really enjoy this picture.

Alejandro

Salut Vincent,

and now I'm looking at yours and have difficulty to decide which one to comment on first. I really do love these two brohthers! The two different expressions are just beautiful.
I like the B&W too.
You shouldn't call yourself an amature; this is a truly magnificant portrait!
btw; tell me some more about the profile photo with the tiger! is it alive??
