Photographer’s Note

After New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Teheran, Paris, etc... this is just about as tranquil as one can expect to get. Lautrec, a medieval village of 500 inhabitants,where the only thing that changes is the colors on the lilac bushes!

Absolutely typically French village, just the kind of landscape I like to remember when thinking of my birth-country!

Techn: Sharp image, bright colours, the lilac is really a + point in the composition - I only think that if you had looked a bit more up... You would have got the whole church cross and avoided the little piece of wall on the bottom which is slightly disturbing the eyes.
But even though, a great shot!

[PS: The correct location is not region: Languedoc-Roussillon, but region: Midi-Pyrenees.

Une très belle composition d'un village du midi. J'aime ces toits orangés à tuiles romanes, cette église qui dresse fièrement son clocher et ses champs en arrière-plan. De très belles couleurs. L'ensemble constitue une très belle réussite.

Belle carte postale d'un beau village de France, avec son clocher au milieu. J'aime bien la composition et les champs en arrière-plan, ainsi que la lumière de printemps qui ne marque pas sa présence d'ombre dure comme en été.

Que dire si ce n'est que c'est magnifique!!!
Les couleurs sont magnifiques : le orange des toits, le bleu duciel, le vert et le jaune des champs...
Quel bel endroit ou on aurait envie d'aller se reposer un peu...

Great composition and colors. I do like the orange/green contrast. I just wished the top cropping included more blue and leaved more space for the church. It probably would have led to a more balance picture (1/3 rule).
