Driving up to Lake Kari near Aragats early on a July morning gave us this sight on an unveiled Mount Ararat.
A different sight than the classical ones with Khor Virap monastery...

beautiful sight.
i just had no luck to take a shot of Ararat, while I was in Armenia! too hard to wake up so early for a good shot :( hehe

Hi Marc - wonderful view which includes the little cone, good scan quality for the age of the photo, and good timing catching the alpenglow. I want to go there in May hopefully, it looks like this was taken in late summer?, there is so little snow on the peak.

Mount Ararat is not located in Armenia. The photo taken from Armenia but it is located in Turkey, in Dogubeyazit town.
