La foto que os presento está tomada en el pueblo de Ordino, en Andorra, el mismo lugar de mis últimos posts de Navidad y Fin de Año.
Es un sencillo detalle de un tejado de pizarra, que normalmente en estos días debería estar cubierto por una importante capa de nieve, y donde el único indicio que es una imagen de invierno nos lo ofrece el humo que sale de su chimenea.
Me pareció una imagen interesante para captar en un plano cerrado con una focal larga, y mostrar el detalle de la construcción de los tejados y de la colocación de las placas de pizarra. Es una casa moderna, pero se sigue aplicando la misma técnica constructiva a base de piedra, madera y pizarra, que en las construcciones antiguas y tradicionales.

The photo that I present you is taken in the village of Ordino, in Andorra, the same place of my last posts of Christmas and Eve of New Year.
It is a simple detail of a roof of slate, which normally in these days should be covered by an important mantle of snow, and where the only indication that is a winter image it offers us the smoke that goes out of his chimney.
It looked like to me an interesting image to catch in a plane closed with a long focal, and to show the detail of the construction of the roofs and of the placement of the plates of slate. It is a modern house, but the same constructive technology continues applying to him based on stone, wood and slate, that in the ancient and traditional constructions.

Hola mi amigo Josep,
Donde esta la nieve ? He he, acqui ;o) !
Dans ma région, il y a les Vosges. Toutes les stations y sont ouvertes avec 40 centimètres de neige - ce qui n'est pas beaucoup.
Ici, une photo très bien composée avec la cheminée très bien placée. Belle netetté.

Thank you, yes it is interesting to compare slate roof construction. The chimney construction also seems curious, though the boulder on top seems to have solved the problem.

Donde esta la nieve?? me he hecho esa pregunta mil veces en los ultimos dos inviernos... es que ya nos toco la realidad del 'Global Warming'?

Hi josep - the detail is very good on the roof of the house, and there's still a good view of the valley itself despite the intentional focus on the house.

Where indeed is the snow? It seems to be a common complaint in many ski resorts in Europe this year.

All our friends are still searching for snow in Europe. Maybe it will come dense but I hope natural balance and circulation stay same as before without giving any damage after global warming. Your photo is excellently explains current situation at middle of December. I like wonderful textures created by roof tiles as before with splendid view of valley at background while dreaming delicious bread loafs in oven under this chimney. Congratulations.

Donde esta la nieve?
C'est un effet du réchauffement climatique, il y a de moins en moins de neige car les températures sont anormalement hautes pour la saison. Belle composition ici avec ce toit aux ardoises parfaitement encastrées, la cheminée qui fume est idéalement placée à gauche et notre regard est guidé vers ces montagnes...sans neige.

The light on the roof tiles makes a very attractive pattern. I like how we can look over the roof to the view beyond, where the diagonals formed by the mountain slopes makes a pleasing composition. Nice work.

Muy buena composicion y encuadre, con el techo "cortando" la foto. Muy bellos colores y buen contraste y sharpness. Aqui tambien el mismo problema con la nieve. El mundo no va muy bien, amigo!

I do like the composition. The neat slate circles are tied to the curve of the mountain above with the curve of smoke, the the angle turns over and repeats itself in the haze of the second mountain; aa all-together esthetically pleasing image,

Hola Josep,

Los de Ordino deberían tenerte como invitado de honor, ¡menudo reportaje, amigo! Me gusta mucho la idea de tomar el techo como base para la foto. Este tipo de tejado es muy sugerente y la chimenea, con esa peculiar combinación entre el metal y la piedra, resulta muy interesante. Me gustan también los tonos matizados del fondo que sugieren muy bien el espacio intermedio y la profundidad de la escena. Muy buena toma, Josep. Un abrazo,

PS: Y ya veremos qué pasa con los calores este año, pero eso de que en Diciembre y en Andorra no haya nieve, da mucho que pensar.

Une photo et un point de vue originaux qui nous montrent bien que l'on est bien en hiver en voyant cette cheminée qui fume, mais la neige se fait attendre. Une belle gestion de la lumière dans la composition, joli travail Josep.

Yes, where is the snow, Josep? For the first time I'm considering not take holidays to ski...What a pitty!
Very beautiful framing with this strong foreground dividing the image in two. The lighting is wonderful and made a lovely effect on the smoke and graphism of the roof. Very nice layers in the background to contrast with.

Mucha salud, paz y prosperidad para este año 2007. Estoy llegando de las montañas luego de pasar las festividades de año nuevo con la familia. Parece que casi toda Europa ha pasado un fin de año sin nieve, tu lo presentas muy bien en esta interestante foto. Excelente definicion y detalles del tejado y un buen DOF. Muy buena foto.

Pois é neve nem vê-la... Belo efeito grafico criado pelas telhas, gosto muito do pormenor da chaminé com o fumo a sair e das montanhas ao fundo. Só falta mesmo a neve para completar o cenário.

Hi Josep - I read in the local newspaper an article on Andorra and the problem of no snow yet - and thought about your gallery... and here that's precisely what you have captured! I like the frame in two parts, bottom with the roof and top with the landscape, which really seems to be in the summer! The chimney on the side is superb, in nice materials and tones, and it nicely breaks the patterns of the roof. Rgds, Daniel

La verdad es que es una faena la temporada de nieve ese año. No solo por el deporte si no por el paisaje. Me gusta la composicion y tu punto de vista. El tejado es muy chulo y tu mas que nadie lo conoces.

PS: Hemos empezado un poco ranqueantes la liga pero bueno, la semana que viene partido grande.

Josep, ta composition est simple mais très efficace et le toit couvert d'ardoises est superbe. La lumière est excellente pour rendre la texture des ardoises.
Le manque de neige fait le désespoir des skieurs et de ceux qui vivent du tourisme dans les stations.

Bonjour, Josep.
Je ne peux pas dire que je ne suis pas impressionné par l'architecture Nord-Américaine de tes derniers posts, mais je ne peux m'empêcher de leur préférer l'authenticité de nos belles Pyrénées... J'aime bien cette composition avec son avant plan qui mise sur la texture de toit d'ardoises.
Et puis, apparemment, aux dernières nouvelles, il apparaît que la neige est en train d'arriver!
