A very nice shot. I love the combination of blue and whites here and the diagonal lines.
However I think it would look better with a straight window. The window lines are not level. This would give a more graphical image with straight horizontal and vertical (window-)lines. Another little thing: the little step is a bit distracting for me.
Just my 2 cents.

You propose a great photo for 2007, very bold and graphic. It’s already attractive at thumbnail size. The different geometric shapes create a contrast between softly ondulating curves and straight square angles.

The colours can’t lie about the location and offer enough information. A different view and a good exploitation of details of architecture.

What a great detail photo Valeria!
The greek colours are beautiful.
It is a common scene when you are in Greece .... but yo must see it. And you caught it very well.
The composition, geometry, framing is very good and your comment is very useful. The spot is the only discordant note.

I have to confess that I am not a great fan of these pure graphical shots, but this one is very good. It has very sensual lines and the blues are just amazing. The sharpness even increased this glow feeling. The door, on the right place, holds another layer of character. Very nice!

But even without it, with my father's passion for photography, we walked endlessly in those curving little streets looking down to the sea where the Atlantis may have dwelt... and this shot just throws me back to that time, thank you dear Valeria. very successufully made, I think the most impressive is the overall consistency of the blue color which makes this scene look like two dimensional, much alike you painted it directly on my monitor.
It seems this one will break your records (even though I still prefer the ones with people in).

I never saw this one before....I guess even without looking so much has been said in praise of this one there is little new to say....another revelation of your graphic sensibility and I have to say I love the incongruity of the slightly jury rigged outdoor light which looks more like a studio light.......but lovely composition on your part.

As a graphic artist you must have had a great time shooting on this island. This is so beautiful - art, but I do believe it's also reality. Wonderful when the two converge. I thought about the tilt (having seen that someone else mentioned it) - and since I have mysterious tilts in so many images, I know the problem. I don't see a problem here, though. I think the door is straight, and the house is built in synch with the lay of the land. I was in Greece in the 60s - not on this island, but on other islands, and this image captures the peacefulness so well.

Another fantastic Santorini shot. I should have looked at your series one month ago, before my own trip there, to get some inspiration! Again, I like the way the composition is reduced to one little, yet very relevant detail. An interesting approach to photographying a well covered subject.

à mon tour de te saluer pour cette composition. hormis la porte, on a l'impression que tout le reste a été dessiné à la craie, craie blanche, craie bleue, et quel bleu ! celui de la Grèce bien sûr - Le travail était tout frais, le travail était tout fait, il suffisait que Valeria y apporte sa griffe.

I really like this photo; I just wish it wasn't so manipulated; it looks like a drawing. I really get no sense of "Greek Colors here"; let me re-phrase; I think the art takes away from the Greek Architecture.

no he podido resistir más en valorar esta foto, que veía todos los días al abrir tu página de introducción. Es muy bonita, tiene un gran grafismo y mucha fuerza geométrica por su combinación de líneas y curvas, y por la bicromía del blanco y el azul, colores de la bandera griega y de la arquitectura de Santorini, un maravilloso lugar al que voy a ir algún día.
