Nanaimo's downtown marina, just after sunrise, the water's still and calm as this kayaker walks past a red trimmed dory.
The speed of the person contrasts nicely with the stability of the boat, and everything aligns to the diagonal. |

Hi John,
I have selected this picture from yours which I like particularly, also because it is taken in Nanaimo.
I like the reds and yellow, and the moving colors of the human figure.
I've been to Vancouver Island on vacation 3 years ago (not many italians go there, I think), and I remember Nanaimo was our first stop after the ferry. I have some beautiful slides of killer whales fins coming out from the calm waters of Telegraph Cove. I need to buy a scanner to turn them into a digital file ! Your pictures reminded me about that fabolous travel...
