[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We live in the city, and my mother loves to go for drives in the country and point out the places she'd like to live. This particular farm has pretty rolling hills and lots of trees, and she likes to point out to us where she would put her dream farm house. The field is seen through the trees that frame it along the road.

Nice and nostalgic! we all have to return to nature sooner

This is an enjoyable and atmospheric shot. I can see what your mother likes this spot. There is a sense of chill and mistiness, which you have caught so well and which reminds me of winter in cold countries. Your composition is very static though. That is, the trees are all, more or less, vertical and tree lines are , more or less horizontal. This two tend to make a composition static rather that dramatic or moving. But I guess that, that was your intention, showing the ageless and unchanging countryside. What is lacks for me is movement into the frame. That is you give us a foreground screen -the trees- and you give us a landscape behind, what seems to be lacking is a focal point of interest, to lead the eye through the screen and into the picture, a slight change of point-of-view might have found an object or a darker tree or something on the horizon to lead the eye through and hold the attention. That clump of thees, partly concealed by the screen trees looks like it would have provided something. However, it is a very enjoyable picture. regards Kevin
