i like very much the footpath leading us to the light. Light that you maged very well here.

Happy new year!

Shooting into the light has really brought out the texture in the snow to good effect, and you controlled the exposure very well.
This image, with the lines of footprints leading off towards the light, is also a great visual metaphor with which to look forward to the year ahead; very optimistic.
Happy New Year Doug.

Cheers,
Ben

wonderful photo.. i like it very much..

Hi Doug,

A nice photo of Hawewlak Park taken at sunset which is giving special colors and a set of shadows to the photo. It has a good composition, DOF and nice colors. Happy New Year 2007.

Great shot Doug! The tracks in the snow are a good idea, because they kind of tell a story. I like the wide angle view too, which adds to the sense of space and makes the winter sun seem very small and cold. Well done!

With the trak in the snow towards the sun you are composing an interesting story. Beautiful to see how the light changes its pattern in the snow. Closer to the sun it has a yellow reflection and closer to your camera it goes over to mark the patterns and contrast of the footmarks.

Hi Doug
itīs almost too dark, but still, it has something special... donīt know what... maybe, here you are trying something different and I really like it!
The steps on the snow, heading to the sun... thatīs a special image!
