Photographer’s Note

I took this picture at Amasra harbour.
Amasra (Amastris) was founded in 6th century BC and its ancient name was Sesamos. It is one of the highest spots on the Black Sea Coast which displays unimaginable, fascinating beauties while traveling through. The city is located on a peninsula and the eastern side is especially good for swimming. The archaeological museum and Çekiciler Street are of interest, too. As a souvenir you may purchase hand-carved, wooden articles.

Nice composition, Ugur. I like very much the light and shade on the boat, and the various ropes in the foreground. Behind, the cloud looks almost like a volcano. My only suggestion is to straighten the image to make the water line level, it has a slight tilt to the left.

Your Kaea Deniz - Black Sea photos are very well composed and with excellent colours. It is more different from our Kara Deniz shore... And more interesting. It's a pity Turkish tourism is not as well develloped on Karadeniz, as on Medditerranean sea...

love the reflection .. love the background mountain and village .. the splash of red from the flag really sticks out for me ..

but mostly I like the way the ropes and people make all this beauty part of daily life.
