Photographer’s Note
Often, even the most seemingly hostile landscapes on Earth have been inhabited by humankind for hundreds and thousands of years. The Karakoram Highway linked China to Pakistan in the 1980s, and one of the last villages it passes through is Passu, at the foot of some towering mountains and surrounded by constant glacial activity. The villagers practice subsistence agriculture but also grow delicious juicy apricots for trade. This area is ripe for tourism but is still visited by relatively few considering its attractions.

Hello richard, What a nice mountain picture!. This wall gives a perfect perspective effect. The light & colours of mountains on right part is simply gorgeous and gives nice contrast compared to the one in back ground. The shae also of these mountains is not that common (specially in back ground) in thumbnail format it could look as "cheminées des féées" as you can see in cappadoce (turkey).
Very nice sky with this big white cloud showing his large face between these mountains.
Best regards
JMarc.

Hello, Richard--
Nice work, the lighting was great, and your use of the near rock wall as a compositional element leading into the frame works well.
Thanks!

Richard,
Love the with the image moves from dark to bright .. stunning jagged mountains .. the line of the fence .. man made but still goes with the natural surroundings .. intensely beautiful and amazing places captured wonderfully ...
take care,
John

Hi Richard
I like the depth & diminishing linear perspective provided by the wall. A superb alpine panorama, with excellent sharpness, colour, & pov. Tfs & Merry Xmas!
