Photographer’s Note

...become the same thing.

An image took from Marciana Alta, lookind down to Marciana Marina, during a terrible day full of humidity, without wind and with a temperature close to the 35°-36°.
The sunset colours and the dense humidity had a wonderful effect on the horizon, with the sea and the sky of same tones and without a visible sepration line.
The only way to "survive" in that hot days was to went up to the peaks of the Isola d'Elba, over the 500, 600 meters to find a little bit of fresh air.

You're into summer mood too today I see, is that what you call a snow dance ? ;-))
You got here a nice overlooking PoV a la capthaddock and yes it is funny to see such a view without a well delimited horizon, at least nobody will tell you the horizon is not straight !!!
A good alternative to the mountains trip to escape heat is a (or a few) cold beer(s), but it's less convenient for photography...

Nice moody detail Paolo with an interesting colour setting of the late afternoon. Typical I think with the mist blending sea and sky after such a day.

Hi, Paolo. Well, yes, the sea and the sky really seem to have merged here. The colours in the sea and sky are very special. The shoreline and the small peninsula give a good structure to your picture. I appreciate the little boat sailing towards the harbour, givin the size of the landscape.

The scene really warms the bones right now, and you are right about the merged horizon line. I like the hues and tones here and the misty effect. The silhouetted foreground is effective to frame the scene and provide sufficient contrast. Very well done.
