My beautiful girlfriend and a beautiful sunset in Thailand.

*update* PP notes:

I used a yellow filter (20%) to highlight the sky. The red is natural; I believe the sunsets at the time were so red because of forest fires in Indonesia. Also: tweaked shadow/highlights and contrast to darken the girl a little more, and sharpened everything slightly.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm still wrestling with the crop issue, because if I crop the shadow at the bottom it will place the girl at the bottom, which is not ideal, and if I balance that by cropping the sky I lose alot of colour up top...suggestions?

if that light is natural, then it's awesome. the sky looks like it's on fire. the stark silhouette of the girl is very good. it's great that she's a little off centre too. a sound composition with great colours. well done!

Nice red warm sunset. I like the red sky quite caostic :)
Maybe I would crop a bit tight on the bottom of the picture.

A great fiery sunset shot. Love the use of the sillouhette of the girl. However I agree that you should cut off the bottom portion to take away the partial shadow which is quite distracting at the bottom. Maybe you should just crop up to the water level.

Anyway great shot you have captured. TFS and Merry X'Mas.

Hi Van, this is a very nice photo. I love the red here. Very well done with color management. Very sharp too. Without a human there, this picture is less atttractive. Well done. Sothy

Wow this is a great shot! Why so few comments? At any rate, the silhouette is wonderful and the overall image is great! This si truly one of the best shots that I have seen from the Thailand collections. Great work!
