Photographer’s Note
Another shot from my outing in poor weather on Saturday. It was a cold grey day with an unispiring sky, but every so often there would be enough break in the clouds to create some dramtic lighting.
Here I had little time to setup and the shot has suffered; the wind has clearly made the tripod less stable than necessary and the distant headland is blurred.
However I though the shot worth posting, if only for Henk (Floydian) to continue his evaulation of LEE filters.
Thanks for looking
Craig

Hi Craig,
Excellent lighting and details at the front and the back. Congrats!
I hope the LEE is working fine to you - my set has arrived but the adapter ring is missing:))
Could you use it with poraizer filter wihtout vignetting?
Congrats,
Miklós

I am following it with great interest Craig. This one is complete different than your previous one and that is really nice to see how they work in different light conditions and situations. I am only looking to the parts were the filter works, and that sky is really stunning. The rocks in the sea are to dark, but i do not really care for that. The overal composition is stunning with fantastic light in the sky and nice bright parts in the foreground.
I have only those 77m/m L lenses, any idea how they handle the filter system and holder?
Thanks for posting this...i really appreciate that.
Regards, Henk

Super shot, Craig. I really like the range of tones captured here. There is a bit of everything from the warm pinkish parts of the sky to the slight of the moss in the foreground. Nice work, Mike

Bonjour Craig,
Best greetings.
Daniel.

Hi Craig,
Great use of this light ray on the foreground rock.
Sky is marvelous, and so is sea texture.
A very nice pic,
JB.

Hello Craig,
A strong December atmosphere is very well captured here!
Image is well composed, good foreground interest to balance the brighter part of the sky...
Good moody colours, sharp fine details!

Hi Craig! Very neat shot despite the windy conditions and poor lighting. The sharpness and colors I think are still ok. This is one of the things I'd like to learn next year, how to photograph rocky beaches with low natural light available using slow shutter...hoping I get some decent shots. rgds.

Hi Craig,
Poor weather it is, but still like the colors specially the spots of green/orange on the rocks. TFS!

Nice capture in the vertical format of this rugged coastline. Kind of interesting and strange red in the sky - filter use I guess. Well balanced compo wuth the weight on the foreground.
