It is the kind of religious ceremony or public presentation, which requires everyone to be in their best of behaviors. The most of which, is to be still and silent. While this trained behavior is easy for most adults, it is the most boring and tiresome act for any children to do.
The wedding rite was way taking too long for the flower girls to keep still. While to most adults, sitting still for an hour or so is something we have gotten used to sometimes, but to any children, you are way asking too much. After a few minutes of quiet demeanour and demure, the flower girls in this wedding ceremony, lost it.
No amount of big eyed stares, or hushing gestures from their mums or attendants could make them go back to their sitting pretty.
Wedding photography doesn't has to be rigid and posed. You don't need to wait for the moments when your subjects are looking at you, smiling. In fact, you deal with wedding photography a lot like sport/action photography, or war photography minus the blood and gory detail. Shoot just about anything that revolves around the scene or story you are seeing, developing around you. Go with the flow.

Haha! I really like the note that you added for this photo. Hilarious subject and pose and it's true that wedding photography does not have to follow traditional rules that you describe above. Wonderful visual juxtaposition between the marriage couple and these little girls. TFS!

This is a slice of everyday life with excellent social and psychological commentary (your note is super, timeless, and incisive). Regards,

It is true that there is a temptation when shooting weddings, or other specific events, to want to portray only the stuff that matches what tradition maintains (ie. everybody should be attentive at the wedding), but this is exactly the kind of shot that the family will love most in the years to come... much more so than the forced smiles of the formal photo session with the family later.
Well done capturing the full story of the wedding and the childrens' impatience in one shot.

Rabani: this one is TOOOO funny. I think it's the little girl talking to the other one, "Like when - if ever - are you going to just tie the knot", even when they're only 5. And the other one is saying, " Oh, God, not again, from you..." Just like old hens... fine stuff. NG style, regards, c

Hi Rabani. A sweet photo. Just shows you that young spirits cannot be cooped up for long. The one on the right is still trying to be correct. Lovely little vignette. Regards. Klaudio.

My attention was stolen completely by the 3 cute flower girls.
I think this is another good proof that in any 'BIG' ceremony, there's always an extra special moment happening around. With a good eye, capturing somthing like this will definitely add more memorable gestures into that historical event.
and it seems that litle girls are more cheered than the people on the background, lol.

Hi Bani. I love this one (and I think that with all due respect to the married couple you can additionally put this into the humorous category). Lovely idea to show the solemn moment just as a backdrop for the foreground scene of the flower girls just being girls, and paying no attention to the grown-up proceedings whatsoever. Very nice.

Oh, Rabani, this is such a terrific shot! It is technically very good and you have caught an hilarious moment of real life. At first glance, the little girls captured all my attention. But if you look on into the photo, the bridesmaid(?) looks as though she's going to nod off and the groom is looking skyward. This is just wonderful. TFS, Shelly
