Polar Express? Photo

Photographer’s Note

Essex is frequently voted as one of the US's best little towns and it is located in Connecitcut. This is my shot of the Essex Steam Train on a crisp December evening. It reminded me of the beautifully illustrated holiday book, Polar Express. I set a time of 2.5 seconds. I lucked out (not having a tripod at the time)by managing to keep the image from blurring by steadying it against a nearby object.

I must agree that it comes out very good, despite not having a tripod with you. Great machine.

Hi Andrea
Nice picture. I would have used a smaller f-stop to increase DOF (foreground is out of focus) and I think the huge frame belittles the picture too much.
