Photographer’s Note

Finally...it's arrived!
An early morning view of a small part of the Alta Val Seriana; the sun was comin' out from the mounts from few minutes and it touched just the top of the mountains. The big blue and white moon was still high on the deep blue sky.
I took some images, then i was back on the bed.
Winter is arrived also in Milan, this morning there war some degrees under zero, car glasses were totally frozen and the grass in the gardens and parks was totally white.

Finally winter is arrived in mid December!!!

Hola Paolo:
Muy bonita fotografía dominada por un intenso azul del cielo y con el toque especial de la luz sobre la cumbre de las montañas.
La presencia de la luna no se hace indiferente y le otorga otro aspecto interesante a la foto.
Es bonito el gradiente de luces que consigues en el sentido vertical de la foto.

Hi Paolo,
Great how you used the light and shadows to make this good composition. Even the snow in the shadow parts are well visable. The blue in the sky is fresh and cold, the right mood for these kind of pictures...perfect.

It is true that the winter is late, for the skiers it is a pity.
Verynice picture here, very good perspective on the mountains cover with snow.

You're right Paolo - the same moon, more or less the same size in the frame, complementing superb light. But in different context and different time of the day (bravo for briefly interrupting your sleep for this pretty shot). Enjoy the winter! Rgds, Daniel

Wow, so the winter is faster in Milan than in Amsterdam, which is located more north! Here no frozen windows yet.

Nice shot with a cold atmosphere, nice warm light though on the mountains. Maybe a bit too much sky which doesn't add anything, just my opinion ofcourse. Maybe it's nice to show more of the mountains. Also I think the sharpness on the top of this mountain in the middle can be improved.

There is as great light on the mountain tops and a wonderful blue sky. I like the aditional touch of the moon still high in the sky.
You sound as if you want winter?

Hi Paolo - beautiful wild scenery, good detail in shadows, maybe a panoramic format may work better, there is plenty of blue sky in this photo, but unfortunately it's been raining in San Francisco since monday morning!

Hi Paolo.

This is a classic powerful saturated Paolo shot. The only thing missing are some clouds.:))
I get the chills by watching the cold blue in this photo. The addition of the Moon makes the photo even colder.
