Two crosses above Dikorifo Photo

Photographer’s Note

Next stop of this small "serie" about Ioannina and Zagorohoria (and Metsovo to come) at Dikorifo one of my favorite villages of the region. I was looking for a place to have a good panoramic POV of Dikorifo (or Dikorfo) and I took a dirtroad, all the way up to the mountains. I reached to the beautiful chapel of St John and the I took a path behind the church that led me to a wonderful campanile. Right behind the campanile there were these two crosses, that caught my attention. Between the two crosses, right below the rocks you can have a glimpse of Dikorifo. La sensacion de infinito que das con esa panoramica me gusta, al igual que las zonas de atras que quedan más iluminadas (me imagino los rayos de sol pasando a traves de las nubes)
En cuanto a las cruces, curiosas si que son

Buenas señor.

La compo es, simplemente, brutal. Buenísima. Además estos colores que tienen por detrás le dan un aire de estos apocaliptico muy apropiado.

Iassou Hercules,
The left cross outstanding nicely against the sky and mountains because of the light. We can see well the rust on both of the crosses and the texture of the stones. The view is great as well the complementary photo in your WS.

Hola Hercules,
una gran composición, donde además de las dos cruces hay otros bellos elementos para contemplar, como la luz del sol iluminando parcialmente el paisaje, el cielo con nubes, y el pueblo abajo en una vista de vértigo.
Excelente, y el WS nos da más información sobre este hermoso lugar.

The high POV is indeed great, offering an almost bird's eye view of Dikorifo. The WS picture showing the village is nothing short of amazing. You've got beautiful light here in the far grounds, bathing the hills in a warm glow

Realmente la sensación de siniestralidad y apocaliptica llena la foto. El primer plano de las curces con un fondo bien definición y contrastado le aporta mucha profundidad.
PS: La verdad es con Carlos ha empezado una guerra en toda regla, espera que regrese, jejejeje

Wow, this is high! The sun lit the crosses even too much, those white circles are a bit OE. But that;s not a problem for me. If you're afraid of heights, don't look at this photo! :)

I like your WS through the excellent panorama view, this picture here, the left cross outstanding nicely against the sky and mountains because of the light, you play excellent with light and shadows, this gives a lovely composition. Very well done!

Greetings Hercules! There's a lot to see in this dramatic shot, not least the tiny village down below the steep side of the mountain. Very sharp detail on the rocks and excellent colour and light. You really chose an excellent pov for this one. This photo creates an amazing feeling, almost of vertigo for me who doesn't like heights very much. Well done.

Bonita composición con las cruces en el primer plano presidiendo la cumbre y con un bonito paisaje en el fondo de la foto.
La disposición de las cruces resulta muy armoniosa y presentan unas buenas texturas y colores que las hacen más interesantes.
El cielo muy bonito también.

Interesante! buscaste una perspectiva muy original, el primer plano de las dos cruces fue una gran idea, el fondo es espectacular y el cielo grandioso, si no contaras cual es el lugar parecerían las tierras altas de Escocia o incluso una escena de Braveheart, bien visto y gran fotografía.

Very simbloic mood you got with this two crosses on the foreground of your photo, but it has much more to show us with the view of this village and mostly the light striking the mounts at the back of your photo.
All of this combined creates a great photo.

Por lo visto hoy me ha tocado doble sesión. Y vale la pena porque la fuerza que tiene esta foto no es usual.
La luz, las cruces y esos colores. Colores que casi tienen vida propia.

Además, ese paisaje me es familiar. Parecen esos paisajes españoles que tanto me han cautivado.

This is a dramatic shot with good depth and rugged, worn textures of the crosses an drocks. The valley and village below are also interesting to note. Your workshop is very helpful in showing me greater context of the village itself. For its sense of character and personality, this image is strong... Wonderful shot.
