Bald Mountain Reflection - Lake Dillon Dawn #3
So I decided to come back to this set .. the first was looking West up toward the town of Frisco and Peak 1 .. the second was looking East toward Grey's and Torrey's Peaks at the break of dawn .. this is looking South straight across the lake to Bald Mountain. ...
We had taken my Mother and daughters up to Breckenridge (about 10 miles away for a birthday weekend .. My mother and older daughter share the same birthday ..) I snuck down to the lake the next dawn .. Pretty magical morning to sit by a lake
Lake Dillon is a man made reservoir .. but still picturesque .. the creation of the lake in 1963 required the moving of the entire town of Dillon and a hydroelectric plant.

I like the simple beauty of this - the water and sky combine perfectly to give this a look almost like a painting. Lots of delicate colours and subtle shades, and the gentle shapes of the mountains suit the lake perfectly. Beautiful!

Nice landscape with excellent reflection. limited range of colors make this scene very calm.

Beautiful soft shade of blue in the sky contrast well with the darker shade of the water. The soft reflections of the clouds also works very well.

This picture has the smell of nature and freedom. There's so much silence in this, one can hear it...;-) "Morning has broken, like the first morning ...". A wonderful song, and a beautiful picture. I like it a lot!
Greetings from cool and rainy Germany!

I could have never guessed that this is a man made lake.... Can humans create such a natural beauty?
Usually, I am not crazy about horizon in the center of a picture but here is works perfectly. It was also a good decision to have this balance on the right and left in this frame, another words your pov is perfect :)) You know, thanks to this balance in pov on each side of the picture it gives an incredibly peaceful effect. This is one of those photos that should be used for meditation purposes or perhaps for a wallpaper in some yoga studio (now I would go to my yoga much more often if that was the case :) Besides the pov, the light and colors are also soft, and of course, the water.... So relaxing with this gentle and natural reflexion.
All Best to you.

Ah this one is so peaceful..and calm! Yeah that's it! I enjoy the simplicity in this one. Nice landscape, curves of the hills.
The reflections on the water are fine. Sky is nice too, I could wish for some more warm colours for example, but this is fine too. The ripplings on the water give it a very quiet appearance.
Good exposure and sharpness, well done.

Beautiful reflection. The light was very nice for this shot and the water looks so crisp. TFS!

This is a simple but effective shot; I like the scene here. The reflection of the mountain in the water has increased the beauty. TFS.

The double-double symmetry is beautiful. Add to that the excellent colours. The bright horizon line below the dark mountains is glorious! Tfs, Jay

Really cool picture. The reflection is great, and I think you took this shot at the exact right time of day because of the lighting.
