Vermont is stocked full of hiking trails because of the vast amounts of forest and wooded areas. On this particular day my daughter, her boyfriend, myself and Chester (the dog?). We were hiking up to a beautiful waterfall in the woods. The trail itself is well used but people are really respectful and its clean and well cared for. The hike its self took us over a couple of teenie streams that we had to traverse logs to cross over, Chester the little dog didn't quite trust them and was carried over easily by my daughter Melissa, who was enjoying the day immensly..I'm not sure who was having more fun Melissa or Chester. The woods though. I loved it!
As far as the photo went. I tried something here. After I had cropped the photo , I removed the noise and it gave it this really soft look which I really liked, increased the contrast a tad as well. Hope you like it. A great day enjoyed by all.
Thanks for viewing my gallery and for your comments on my photo. I left the big tree in the foreground as I thought it just added to the fact that we were indeed in a dense woods and the photo without it just looked to wide and opened to me.

I really like this style. It looks like being in between paintaing and phototography.

I love this kind of diffuse soft thing with the woods it is almost mythic .. I'd love to know more specifically how you did this one if you care to share.
thanks for sharing the image.

Really nice photo. Looks more like a painting than a photo. I love the blue tone. Great work.
Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful Surreal photo works well with the dog and brightly clad daughter. It has such soft inviting colors which calls you into the woods. I used to do this daily until my injury with two big dogs and they are depressed amd can't wait to get back in the woodsie side of life.

Great shot the light looks difficult but it has come out well. The noise removal has had an attractive effect as it looks soft but not blurred.

The big tree works for me - it does establish the enviornment. What you did with your software makes a good picture a quality photo. A couple of us would like more details on what you did in PP.

it looks as if the scenery of a fairytale was painted ... the colors are so magic ... the two of them really seem to have fun in this beautiful landscape ...
btw: How old is your daughter?

You have captured a very nice moment and your PP really gives it a pleasant appearance. Composition is also good. The only flaw seems to be too much JPG compression which sort of emphasizes horizontal and vertical lines while appearance is othervise soft.

Very nice shot, accompanied by a gripping personal note. I like the cool blues and greens against the earthy colors of the woods. It is nicely composed, with the tree in the foreground anchoring the scene. For that reason, it could have been sharper, but it is not that essential.
