I always wonder what makes people comment or not on shots. Here for example I do not understand why no one has taken the time to drop You a line and encourage you on the sight you have captured. Yes the image is smudgy and could be cleaned up but at the same time it adds a touch of atmosphere and feelings into the shot that would have been completely missing had it been a crystal clear shot.
What charms me after that are those two characters that become visible only after one has spent a little time looking at the scenery. I particularly appreciate the light that dots the ground in uneven ways, esp BG v FG.
The church in the BG is perfectly small and perfectly lit up, the birds only small white dots. Yes. This is Iceland without its grandiose sights. Yes, this is Iceland in its pure elemental tranquility yet impending storm. Yes, I absolutely adore this shot.
I tried a bit tighter crop in the WS, let me know what you think :D
