Photographer’s Note
One day in Lunda , on a small street with no electricity , no water but with a lot of human stories i notice from our car a young mother with some very strong facial characteristics . I tried to make her a photo, but in that moment our car increased the speed and i lost her.
She noticed and she starts smiling (you can see the marks of her smile on this photo).
I was so upset, but i noticed, that could be with a reason, that even if is not perfect we need to make it up.
So i tried to make something else from nothing and this is the result.
I wanted to share with all of you the story of one shadow, of one flash, one second and one life.
Thanks for visiting!

that's an amazingly beautiful shot, reminding of Sarah Moon's work. Altogether the mystery, the darkness, the softness and should I say the wetness of feminity.
If only you had set a regular frame instead of that horrible tacky thing around, I would have marked this image as one of my favorites.

The shot is more than perfect, Vasile. Pefection would just be your clear, clean, sharp shot of a smiling girl. This is much more. It's poetry. You discovered something truly beautiful through the seredipity of chance occurence. Now, to recreate that intentionally! Perhaps you could pursue that goal as a photographer. I agree with Luko -- lose the frame and treat the work of art with the dignity it deserves. Best, Hugh

Yes, absolutely beautiful photograph calling out for memories and the fertile side of our imaginary. Colours are amazing, as well as the general atmosphere as if the girl was shining on a red velvet background. Poetry in motion.

Buna,
O fotografie deosebita! Excelenta transpunere in imagine a 'povestii unei umbre, a unei clipe/secunde', cum spui tu in nota. Imi plac mult tonurile, combinatia lor, lumina scazuta si incadrarea. Datorita miscarii imaginea/silueta femeii se intrepatrunde cu background-ul iar efectul e extraordinar! Toate cele bune.

Vasile: definitely a surrealistic take , intentional or not I'm unsure. Your final result though is intriguing. regads, c

Amazing and I must say "unique" work, Vasile. One makes out the owman through a kind of dark fog yet her luminous qualities miraculously emerge.Luko says "Sarah Mon", yes, maybe - I have no one really to comare this too but it packs a punch in inverse proportion to its clarity...
Extraordinary. I agree with Luko about your frame - the background being already black, you're shooting yourself in the foot with a black border - but that's a small point.
Best,
Francis

It came out as very intriguing, mysterious and symbolic shot indeed. I guess by "very strong facial characteristics" you meant exceptional beauty? :-) Then I can see why you chased her :-)) Cheers - Vilius

It's a very delicate and gentle portrait - really unusual. I especially like how you can catch the smile from it. I don't agree with Francis - the black frame is fine. Just better without the 'matching handbag' purple line :)

Hi Vasile,
It looks so artistic, and yes, reminds me of passage of time... Very special photo indeed.

Hello Vasile ! ... and thanks for stoping by ... I chose this one out of your lovely gallery. Your result is very special, beautiful in its own way. I especially like those colors, her dress looks somehow like neon. Excellent work giving us way for imagination. Barbara.

Well, Vasile, this shot is really cool. Very unique. SOme might not like it technically, but personally I think it is very strong with the lack of focus.

Hi Vasile,
Love this! I find the colors gorgeous, the POV's great, the atmosphere really particular, kind of ultraviolet one, with a glimpse of emotion brought by the smile.
Really well done!
Best regards,
Bea

Even if you first thought this was a missed shot i can assure it creates a great result like that !!! As a fan of the purple color this one as a great impact on my eyes, moody and atmospheric, end of party feeling, at end of the world ... Great !
