Photographer’s Note
Classic Night View of Tower Bridge at 22:30 GMT.
Just a few minutes before this picture was taken I walked over Tower Bridge. Then suddenly the traffic flowing over the bridge was stoped and after a while the bridge bascules started to lift.
It took a while until the bascules were fully lifted giving me time to take this picture and see the long tourist boat crossing underneath the bridge.

IIt is very hard tio take an image of such a well-known landmark and make it worth a comment. But I think you've done that, so congratulations!
Having the bascules (a new word for me, thanks!) open makes this image, lifts it a few levels.
Well composed, good reflections, nice sharpness - a job well done.

Hi Wolf, This is truely the classic view of the tower bridge, however you have posted a well composed photo especially with the bridge raised, only one thing it is a little dark at the top but it is still an inpresive photo of this great London land mark, kind regards Wilson.

Wow! And I thought my Tower Bridge photo was nice! This is very beautiful and a nice tribute to a very well-photographed place. I find it hard to get good night shots, but you've done an excellent job here. Nice composition.

Hi, Wolf!
You have some great night images from London in your gallery. I have never been there myself, but seen a lot of photos from this bridge. Not many of them had captured this moment when the bridge is pulled up. It's a nice POV and a great sharpness on the bridge. The reflections in the Thames are also nice.
