Taken last summer about 30 minutes north of Las Vegas, we were surrounded by many beautiful road views...and that day, the temperature was around 45°C (113°F), the hottest day of my life :-)

Hi Pierre,
This place looks very hot and very dry indeed.Devoid of any grass the brownish tone depicts that as well. The deep road cutting through the valley is good and so is the dark colour of the road-a good enough contrast. But I do feel that the road is so far one couldnt enjoy its beauty and the contrast that the road has created...may be little more closer POV would have helped.
Greetings from India,
Dhurjati

Lovely landscape, very good colours, very well composed. It seems like the scenery which I had seen in Oman - dry, only less vegeatation.

nice work here, I like the title, ver good road included in this one and coverage of the land

well done

Although not being so active at this site for the time being, Pierre, I do check in from time to time to see how 'my favorites' are doing. Hopefully all is well with you and your family.

And I can't let this shot pass unnoticed. It's an amazing view over a part of the United States unknown to me. Not in my wildest imagination would I've believed such an landscape only 30 minutes from Las Vegas. Such a vast and rugged terrain with such a desolation, so well shown by the lone white car in the middle of 'nowhere'.

The composition and the POV suites me fine, as well as the positioning of the car in dead center - thanks to the road sneaking in from the right edge, only to disappear among the cliffs in the middle. And the contrast between the overwhelming nature and the man-made road is significant and mediates a very humbling impression. This trip most certainly is a must at my next visit to the U.S. Very well done!

I'll probably return here (to TE), when I've decided on a suitable level for my participation. Take care!

Bon WE
Charles

Salut Pierre

Indeed a deserted place - glad you included the road as a human element - thanks Pierre for sharing this hot-photo :-)

Philippe

Hi Pierre. Excellent scene and well captured. Excellent composition with the road making a good lead-in. thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi Pierre
