Photographer’s Note
This picture was taken during my toilet break. It was in Greenland during Arctic expedition. 30 days out without any means of communicating with the outside world. On ration packs and on our feet, trespassing the glacial landscape. Below is an extract from my diary:
Day 11
"Day of rest in the clouds"
...Being in the middle of nowhere and not being able to do much without getting cold, made many people thik more than they previosuly had a chance to . Many started to think about their homes, mainly those who have never been able to be so far away form their relatives. They have though about the food, the bed, the showers, warmth, family; whilst others were still well asleep, others digging new toilets. Tom and me thinking what could be a stupid thing to do, and we came up with an idea that jumping out the tent nearly naked would be pretty stupid, so we went on to accomplish the master plan by getting undressed and waiting in the warmth of a sleeping bag until the other person is ready."
