A view shot this saturday. It was a great autumn day to hike in mountains.

Last of these autumnal views of the Mont-Pourri.

The mountain on the right is the Mont-Pourri (3779 m), one of the highest peak of the Vanoise range, french Alps. On the left, 'le dome de la Sache' (3601 m).

The view is shot from the other side of the Tarentaise valley at about 2100 meters high, from a point called 'le plateau du Clou'

pour la saison, ca manque de neige !
J'aurais préféré une prise de vue "plus haute" (moins d'herbe, plus de ciel), mais ce n'est que mon avis.

Bonjour, Laurent. Les couleurs de l'automne sont encore bien présentes, notamment sur les mélèzes avec leur belle couleur orange. L'avant-plan tranche bien avec les glaciers qui se détachent sur un beau ciel. Très belles lumière et netteté.

excellent DOF and good balance of light and colors. It is fascinating to see each shadow in the snow so clear. I like this. Not to forget the nice composition with the view down the valley and the mountain as background.

J'aime beaucoup ces vues qui combinent deux saisons, ici en regardant le premier plan c'est sans discussion encore l'automne alors que la montagne derriere avec sa neige eternelle me place deja en hiver, manque plus que deux ou trois metres de poudre et ce sera parfait, jolie photo.

Wonderful fresh and bright colours with excellent sharpness. Love those different layers and V look through the small hils towards the majestic mountain...perfect composed..!!!

Hi Laurent,
I'm so naturally drawn to the mountains that I simply knew from a thumbnail I'd like this one :) Well, I was right.
Great light and deep perspective, with V shape in the foreground as a kind of gate to the mighty mountain in the background.

Belle composition avec cette forte opposition de jolies couleurs entre les deux plans dont le premier, avec ces teintes automnales, sert de faire valoir aux majestueux glaciers.

Une netteté exceptionnelle caractérise cette belle photo. Très beau panorama de ces montagnes majestueuses et pas encore recouvertes de beaucoup de neige! Réchauffement climatique oblige!

This is an impressive view. The soft colours of the foreground really capture the light well. The V shaped intersection of the foreground mountain range balances the picture against the snow covered mountain in the distance. Nice hues and colours and great framing.
