A church in Krakow... Photo

Photographer’s Note

In Poland, it's easy to find people in the churches and this was something strange for me because in Spain (or, at least, in Barcelona) the people go to the churches but not as usuall as there.

Obviously, I couldn't resist the temptation and I went to one service (and, of course, my Polish is not as good as I wanted...).

Now, I am showing a picture of the church 1h (aprox) after the service.

Oscar do you remember the name of the church? I also noticed how dedicated Polish people regarding their churches. Everytime I visited a church and there was a service we just couldn't go inside at all. People were standing on the back, aisles and every spot where they could. I like the scene you show us here. Good, clean picture. Cheers.

You have caught a nice perspective here!The rows stretching accross the diagonal form a nice view and the brown-dominated colour harmony is beautiful.

interesting is that practically the churchues here are open all day long and all day long there is someone popping down for longer or shorter pray, or just to find a moment of contemplation,
i do it myself, too;

Your POV has captured a lot of elements here. I like the different lighting on the floor walls. Great use of perspective too.

Well managed low interior light levels, with wonderful colour, high pov & ambience. The slight motion blur adds interest. Tfs!

EL angulo que has usado le da un aspecto teatral al interior de esta iglesia, me gusta sobretodo como has incluido la lampara en el lado superior del cuadro.

la diagonal és bona, el terra com un tauler d'escacs té gran grafisme, i la gran làmpara penjada, amb poca perspectiva per la focal llarga fa un efecte especial i una mica irreal.
La gent dóna vida a aquesta imatge de l'església, ben il.luminada.

Vaya dia que he tenido, ya te contare... un dia de infarto. Ahora me pongo con esto y son las 00.18.
Pero bueno mas vale tarde que nunca.
A ver que tengas necesidades fisiologicas lo entiendo pero... porque eres tan esplicito??? jejejeje no es serio la unica pega que le puedo sacar y que no me convence es el movimiento de se ve en alguna personas. Ya se de la complejidad y que no tenias chinchetas para clavarse los pies pero creo que preferiría una imagen nitida 100%.
Pero la manera de recortar la lampara es nuevo.

Hello Oscar,

Nice angle you found from up there in the balcony. I am hesitating about the open door and think whether I would have included it ? Exceptional light here and the checkered ground gives a very attractive view overall. Good idea to include the lamp, instead of trying to eliminate it..
I have been working for over a year on a similar subject this is why I may have these ideas.

Me gusta tu punto de vista tomando la foto desde un angulo superior y me llama la atencion la buena definicion obtenida tanto en la preciosa lampara asi como en los bancos de la iglesia. El toque borroso de ciertos parroquianos esta muy bien, pena la fuerte luz de la puerta.

Excellent composition. The high point for me here are those black-white chess board like squares which adds a diferent perspective to this church shot.

Excellent shot with very strong color composition ( with fine saturation and contrast levels), good luminosity and brightness, and a well chose POV. The detail of the lamp adds interest to your composition.

Interesante la perspectiva desde donde tomas la foto, y el efecto out of focus, de la gente, complementa la foto de una forma interesante ;-)

This is a great, high pov. The angle of the isle moving across the picture gives a good diagonal and bisects the picture well. The candelabra anchors the composition well and its central location has a good balancing aspect to the pictured.

This is my favourite church in my city :o) I love the atmosphere inside that church. Interesting capture and good perspective. I like this perspective too so I usually sit in that place from you was taken your photo :o) Good light.
