Photographer’s Note
A view towards the moors at Holme Moss near Holmfirth. The trees are the last ones to be seen as the cultivated land meets the rugged untamed moors which stretch over the border into Lancashire.
Just out of view in the valley below are two reservoirs, one is Digley and the other Bilberry.
Bilberry burst its banks on a stormy night in February 1852 and over 80 people in the valley below died as a result.
Photo cropped and sharpened, adjusted curves a little.
Cloned out a footpath sign post that was just showing in the foreground.

Hi Andy, like your shot as I know this part of the world,we would have a drive over this way when I was a child. As I look at your shot the clouds feel to be moving! You have made a good composition and it is sharp.TFS, regards Jean

Hi Andy, great shot of the moors. Nice lead in lines from the wall on the left to the valley in the middle and the fields sloping sharply into it. Good framing with the walls and tree too. TFS. Leon.

Lovely shot, Andy. I really like the soft muted colors and that stormy looking sky. Nice POV and great depth. TFS, Shelly
