Photographer’s Note
Quebec City or Québec* (French: Ville de Québec, or simply Québec) is the capital of the Canadian province of Quebec. It is the largest city in eastern Quebec. Quebec's Old Town (Vieux-Québec), the only North American fortified city north of Mexico whose walls still exist, was declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1985 as the "Historic District of Old Quebec". It is also one of the oldest cities in Canada. The city has a population of 528,595, and the metropolitan area has a population of 717,600 (2005).
Quebec City is one of the oldest settlements in Canada, only St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Port Royal, Nova Scotia, and Tadoussac, Quebec were created earlier. However Quebec city is the first to have been founded with the explicit goal of receiving permanent settlement and not as a commercial outpost, and therefore is often considered to be the first city in Canada. It was founded by Samuel de Champlain on 3 July 1608. (from Wikipedia)
The photo is taken from the fort, the highest point in quebec. You can see the old town, the "Chateau Frontenac" hotel (opened in 1893) and the Saint-Laurent river.

Natalia,
Nice panarama, the lighting on the buildings draws the eye to your main subject. The color and lighting are fine.

Hi
Thank you, I have wondered for a while what Quebec City looks like and this is an interesting photo that gives a sense of the older parts of Canada.
As a matter of interest I live just a few miles from the birthplace of General Wolfe.

nice work, and it is worth mentioning that the hotel, Chateau Frontenac is the most photographed hotel in the world...it is the highest building just to the right of the center of the photograph

Bonjour Natalia,
