Photographer’s Note

Ducks again on TE. I know that this is a famous topic here, and there are many pics of ducks, but not too many of the female of the species. They were busy feeding and really moving at quite a rapid pace on the water looking for food among the plant life. This view gives you an idea of what the female looks like for a change. Hope you enjoy.

Ducks belong to the sub family Anatinae - they are a highly diverse group. This is the Mallard duck, generally found somewhere near water where the conditions are not too severe.

This shot was taken on Easter Monday while enjoying a day at the dam with the family.

Tech: Cropped, sharpened.
