Photographer’s Note
While Monument Valley, Utah is a popular area for movie shooting and travelling photographers, we a arrived late in the day, the low sun and strong contrasts offering this vivid scene.
I had great difficulty reducing film grain, digital noise and sharpening of this scanned image but apart from levels adjustments and cropping, there is no other post processing.
I hope you like it.

Hi there David,
Nice place. Seems like a good place for Wile E. Coyote to hunt on Roadrunner, hehe! Those rock pilars are very good for the Coyote to fall off.
Good sharpness, great details and nice compo having the pilars in different sites of the shot. The sky is a great enhancement.
Good shadow portions.
Nice work, tfs.

Hi David.
I like the enviroment you have captured here. It does remind me of a lot of movies and series (i was waiting for Airwolf to shot past those cliffs). The sun was good in this shot giving the land some great shadows.

Hi David,
These clouds are beautiful, very three dimensional. I'm not so crazy about the surface. It is sharp but the colors looks a bit flat. TFS, Gilbert
Edit: i workshopped it, I hope you like it.

Hi David,
WOW, AMAZINGLY beautiful! You sure did a great job scanning this picture.
I visited this area in October 2005 but was caught in a wind storm so it was a completely diferent experience. However, this monument is some sight to behold.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi David,
a nice shot of Monument Valley. The clouds look superb and the crumbling rock formations, especially the foreground ones, look superb. Well taken.

Mark
