Photographer’s Note

These are the rests of a small convent, built in late 10th century.
I haven't found much about it, but there is a horse stall now, in the bigger part of the building, a man who have them, is offering horse riding round the hills in the area. After the WW2, they have sent away the priests and moved common workers to the badly standing apartments.
This happy smiling lady is still living there, all alone, sorrunded by ten or eleven horses, a horse keeper coming to work with these and with a closed churche on her right, almost crashing...
Her face is exactly like the front of the place she's living in, the whole image here is in the same situation, ...
But she smiled to me, greeting me with the hand, as I was the Pope:)
I haven't asked her name, so she became Madamme 115 :)

Zdravo Maja!
Všeč so mi hiše z grobo staro fasado,ki imajo svojo dušo.
Odlične barve in kontrasti.Nebo je sicer kar precej procesirano,ampak se mi zdi kar všečna fotogrfija.

Hi Maja, slika je fantsitična, kot iz pravljice. Kje si jo poslikala, ali kakšna zapuščena vas v notrnjosti ?? Glede na cerkveni turn ki je samo ostanek, tu je tudi bog rekel lahko noč.

What a lovely picture in a truly wonderful composition.
It all fits exactly in the frame and the purple door together with the lady hanging out of her window is excellent composed.

Miuky, c'est une photo qui a beaucoup de caractère et qui est très bien composée. Cette personne au centre de la photo donne de la vie à cette belle architecture usée par le temps.

Zelo lepa fotka, odlična kompozicija, za nameček pa še stara ženica na oknu, nimam kaj dodati. Tudi meni so všeč stare zgradbe saj imajo zgodovino in dušo. Prav zanimiva je ta vasica nad Sečovljami. Moj naslednji obisk Obale bo gotovo tudi vasica Krog.

This shot has to be opened to be appreciateed. I thought that in he thumbnail the propect wasnt good, another shot of a hpuse. YET opening it up I saw the woman and this took an upturn. So while the architectural shot would have been good - the building look great here, textures are fantastic - with the woman you have a shot with life, the village isnt an empty shell but a real place for real people. And I really like the scale of the surroundings to her. Good work.

Hi Miuky. This is a well-seen detail; I like how you framed this photo with the old lady looking out the window of #115 and making a delightful and friendly add to this view of the old village architecture. Good work with the contrast to enhance the textures of the fading paint; regarding the color palette there seems to be a slight shortage of the red channel. But overall a delightful shot and a nice observation. Greetings from Tokyo.

This one is great, reminds me atmosphere of the "House of Obidos". There is something special about old houses, they seem to have personalities... Amazing sight of this single lady in the window. Amazing life. Superb composition, textures, sharpness and colors. Well done! V

A very rich and eye-catching scene with a great interesting note to support it.

The different levels of roofs and geometric elements are very picturesque and almost look like coming out of a chidren book. Great texture and details.

Taka luštna, mehka fotka, kot za kakšno otroško serijo. Pa te hiše primorske so mi kul, k jih nč ne spedenajo k folk pr nas, k se sam primerja s hišam; no k men se to ne lub pa bi tud tak žveu k Primorci.
