Photographer’s Note
I just heard that pigeons are quite the pest in Argentina. They actually have ecotouristic excursions for working to control the pest issue by involving tourists interested in firing rounds at the flying rats to help in the fight against them. Anyways, Argentina is a great place. This picture was taken in a square in Mendoza and I was going for a releasing of a pigeon effect from the hand of the statue. I sort of got it.

This is a nice shot, however its a pity the palm tree is there else I think it would have been better. Great timing to get the shot as the bird was flying off. Really looks like she was setting it free.
