Photographer’s Note

The Netherlands are famous for their flowers, specially the tulips. They export billions of flowers into the world, and here you can see the fields as they grow. The entire region is a colourful paintbucket in spring! No need to paint your Eastereggs anymore if you take a trip to that part of Holland around this time of the year...

This picture is taken near the Keukenhof, a floral garden and big tourist attraction near Leiden. This flower garden is all about such colourful springflowers as tulips and daffodils and many many more. It's open from March 25th until May 20th. Therefore I guess that is the main season to see the flowers bloom. It depends on the weather too of course, but I would advise you April for a visit. It's not too far from Amsterdam by the way!
