A Stained Interior Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is St Michaels churh in Luxembourg City.I entered only because of a storm outside to find a empty and wonderful little church. There was not much to photograph inside until the sun broke through outside and lit the aisle with the wonderful colours of the stained glass windows. I was only just able to get a tripod up and take two shots before the colours died.I felt very lucky to have got this shot and it always brings a big smile to my face when I view it.

What a luck that you managed to take the photo before the colors died, this is a real beaty of natural light.
Very exciting contrast between colors and black, it makes the colors even more vivid and mmmmmmm what´s´the english word? Warm? Intense? Focused? Can´t find the right one. Anyway, thank´s for the storm outside, and for sharing the result!

Hi Paul,
you were lucky indeed. Beautiful colors and contrast. I could only imagine what you fell when you saw this lights passing throgh the windows - after all you were hiding before the storm.

beautiful lighting. its not the windows that grab my eye, but the colors from the windows playing on the floor and chairs.

A very dark composition that bright when "click" on it and you can see in longer size. At first view didn't like enough, now it's something so different. Very nice, well captured lights and very good the composition.
